The mission of Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls Los Angeles is to empower girls through music education.
RCGLA strives to nurture self-esteem and self-expression in girls, in a world that doesn’t always give girls permission, space or the tools to do so. We hope that our programs inspire girls to be their best selves, to rock in life. That hope extends to our adult volunteer base and to the greater community of Los Angeles. Our programs bring together like-minded people from all backgrounds and fosters connections among female musicians. We envision a network of support extending beyond our organization and contributing to an overall healthier atmosphere for musicians and artists in Los Angeles.
As our organization grows, we plan to add after-school programming, multiple summer camp sessions and multiple Ladies Rock Camp sessions. We look forward to eventually having our own permanent space where we can offer lessons, workshops, equipment rental and rehearsal rooms year-round.
RCGLA is a member of the Girls Rock Camp Alliance.
To build self-esteem in girls.
To provide a safe space for risk-taking and creative expression.
To create opportunities in music participation.
To build community among female musicians and their supporters.
