Ladies Rock Camp
Ladies Rock Camp (LRC) is a three-day rock n’ roll boot camp weekend for women ages 18 and up. Funds raised from LRC will allow us to continue to provide scholarships to girls facing economic hardship and help us build the social justice component of our programming.

Ladies Rock Camp is a mini version of summer camp. In just three days you will: take lessons on the instrument of your choice (either learning for the first time or brushing up on your skills), form a band, write a song and perform live at a local club. It’s a weekend of bonding, getting out of your comfort zone, expanding your horizons and HAVING A TON OF FUN in a safe and supportive environment. Our instructors are amazing people with a wealth of experience in performing, songwriting, recording, touring, and more.
Fees & Enrollment
Tuition is $450 per person. Enrollment is limited and is first-come, first-served until all spots are filled. We accept payment in the form of check or money order. Tuition is not considered a donation, but any amount above it is.
Once we receive your application and payment we will confirm your enrollment via e-mail, phone or mail. One month before camp you will receive detailed information about LRC, including the full schedule, social events, and the showcase location.
If you cancel before March 15, 2014, we will keep a $25 application processing fee and refund the remainder of your payment. If you cancel on or after March 15, 2014, we offer a 50% refund of your payment.
Who May Apply
Any woman age 18 and over may apply. We can work with individuals at any level of musical experience, including total beginners.
Location & Transportation
LRC is held on the campus of Immaculate Conception School, an elementary school in downtown L.A. (830 Green Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90017). There is plenty of free parking in the school’s parking lot. We do not provide transportation. If you’re interested in carpooling, please indicate that in your application.
You are given a choice of guitar, bass, drums, keyboard or vocals. We will try to give you your first choice but can’t guarantee you’ll get it because we have to be able to form bands, therefore need a balanced proportion of instrumentation. Instruments are provided. You can bring your own guitar or bass if you want to, just know that you are solely responsible for its safety.
We do not provide accommodations. If you are coming from out of town and need help finding a place to stay, let us know. We might be able to connect you with a host for the weekend, but we cannot guarantee anything.
Lunch and dinner are provided Friday – Sunday. Continental breakfast is provided Saturday – Sunday. If you have any dietary restrictions, please note them on your application.
Workshops supplement instrument instruction and band rehearsals. Possible topics include songwriting, effects pedal demo, artist panel, band merch (including screen-printing t-shirts), recording basics. We will do our best to tailor workshops around the interests of our attendees.
